Off to Fort Macleod!

On Saturday, Nov. 26, I’ll be at the Fort MacLeod Library (264 24 St. in Ft Macleod, Alberta) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a mini book fair with Lorraine (Lorrie) Morales, Laurie Carmichael, Marcia Laycock and Jantina Herrick (J.T. Conners). The Santa Claus parade will pass right in front of the library, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. And it’s going to be warm! Join us for some early Christmas shopping.

If you’re wondering about the readings at Owl’s Nest Books on Nov. 22, the whole evening was a lot of fun. The good folks at Owl’s Nest do a wonderful job of hosting these events and the readings were excellent. Here’s a photo, taken by my friend, Karen Keeley (a fabulous writer, by the way):

If you’re in the Calgary area on November 22…

…and you’re up for a night of crime, come to Owl’s Nest Books, at 815a 49 Ave SW, Calgary, for readings by six Alberta writers: PD Workman, Alice Bienia, Lisa Bush, Julie Hiner, L.L. Abbott, and me. I’ll be reading from the first Mendenhall Mystery, The Shoeless Kid. The readings, organized by Crime Writers of Canada and supported by Owl’s Nest Books, are from 7 to 9 p.m. (That’s on Tuesday, Nov. 22.)

Come early and browse, then stay for the readings. I guarantee you’ll find something you’ll want to pick up as a Christmas gift!
